Sir: I am a student of Karachi University which is one of the well-known government institutions in Pakistan and among the top 250 in Asia. We are facing many problems in KU. First and emerging problem is transport facility. There are hundreds of students studying different department of Karachi University, majority of students have to reach KU through the university-provided points. The number of points allotted by the university is not enough for the students.
Moreover, in many KU departments, there is no proper furniture, especially in arts and social sciences departments where students are bound to sit on the ground.
Recently a notification strictly prohibited smoking and pan chahlia but the rule is not being followed by the student. Moreover, there are no outdoor games for girl. Moreover, students are involved in politics rather than their studies. I request KU authorities to look into the matter and take suitable steps to solve these issues.
